The Float Life Kush Nug Review. The Kush Nug has become one of the most popular aftermarket Concave Footpads for the Onewheel Pint. Keep reading to find out why.
It’s been a year since The Float Life first released their Kush Nug Footpad for Onewheel Pint. It’s only now that I have had a chance to get my hands on a Kush Nug Low to test out and share my thoughts.
The Float Life Kush Nug Review
First, let’s cover the basics…
What is a Kush Nug Concave Footpad
The Kush Nug is a concave rear Footpad developed by The Float Life for use with the Onewheel Pint. It’s made out of the same material as skateboard wheels, making it durable while still being soft enough to reduce vibrations, giving you a smoother and more enjoyable ride.
Words From The Float Life
“Too soft and you’ll lose performance, too firm and your feet will hate you, but the Kush Nug is the Goldilocks of footpads.”

Did I Really Need a Kush Pad? Kush Nug?
Yes! Regardless of the brand or model of Footpad you choose, the benefits far outweigh the downsides. A concave Footpad is a definite recommendation to get maximum control and increased rideability from your Onewheel or Onewheel Pint.

Now On To The Review…

Opening The Box, HaHa 😂
No box for this one. (The low price of the Blem option sold me.) Instead, it came in a clear bubble satchel. Even though this is supposedly a “Blem” the defects are very hard to find.
Included with the Footpad is an extra piece of grip tape and a Torx screwdriver, along with some much enjoyed rolling papers, a kooze, and some stickers. A decent haul for a discount Blem order!🙌
How To Install The Kush Nug Footpad On a Onewheel Pint
Kush Nug Install
As Jeff shows in the product drop video, installation of the Kush Nug Footpad is as easy as removing the 6 Torx screws with the included Torx screw bit. Then screw the new Kush Nug into place.
#ProTip – If you have trouble getting the screws to align. Start all the screws before tightening them down.
Form
This thing is clean, tight, freshie fresh however you say it, the aesthetics of the Kush Nug are on point. Nuff Said!
Traction Pad
TFL grip is awesome, for me personally though, a traction pad is better. I find a traction pad alleviates some knee pain I get when riding abrasive style griptape. A quick spread of this Surf Traction Pad from Amazon and we are ready to roll!
Function
Listed below are some of the best things about the Kush Nug.
-
- No FlightFin Ridges. When compared against the OG Kush for Onewheel CR, it is easy to see these ridges. This is great for my preferred stance as I sit the ball of my rear foot right over this area!
- Eazy Duz It, Mellow Concave. The concave has a perfectly designed modest pocket to keep your foot in the sticky.
- Small Increase In Pad Area. The edges of the pad are contoured out, increasing available foot real estate.
