Onewheel Pint First Look

As you can imagine the excitement had been brewing almost to a bursting point. Seeing so many points being delivered was exciting and disappointing at the same time. Now all the waiting has paid off because my new Onewheel pint is finally here. I am ecstatic to get my first hands-on look at the new Onewheel Pint.

Unboxing And First Look At The New Onewheel Pint

The Box

For shipping, the Pint comes with the same box inbox protection. Once the outer box is opened it reveals a huge part logo. I like the modest graphics and simplicity of this new box design, although the graphics and images of the XR and Plus boxes are missed.

The statement under the top flap is as true as it gets!

The Reveal

Opening the box to get my first look at this beautiful new Onewheel color, I have to say I am impressed! This new sand color really stands out.

The Mag Handle

The first fill of the new mag handle also great, it is easy to grasp and tucks away nice and neat. The mag action keeps it locked in its place.

Charge Port And On-Off Button

The next thing I noticed was the on-off button seems to have rubber protection. This will be great for the beach riders to keep that sand out of the button mechanism. And next, the charge port is no longer an XLR plug but what could be a proprietary connector? I wonder if Future Motion will put out a charge port plug for the Pint?

The Tire

I quickly noticed the Onewheel logo imprinted on the tire. This must mean Onewheel is working with a tire manufacturer for a specific OEM tire to give the best all-around ride.

Onewheel Pint Concave Footpads?

The Onewheel Pint footpads have a slight heel kick. And although It is hard to see, there is actually very minimal concave, it would have been nice to see concave from the factory. I’m sure it won’t be long before one of the third-party accessory providers releases a Concave Footpad for the Onewheel Pint.

The Charger

The first thing I noticed with the charger was how small it is, I guess this is why the charge time is so much longer than the plus. This could be a sales tactic by Onewheel to make you buy the upgraded charger. On a positive note, it looks like the charger power cable has been replaced with one of higher quality, to hopefully prevent the cable failure issues some have had.
