What is a Onewheel?
If you needed some help understanding what a Onewheel is all about, read this article; What is a Onewheel
Size
The main thing that sets the new Onewheel Pint apart from its siblings is the size. Measuring at just 27”, the Pint will make the perfect companion for the commuter or student looking to ride between classes or run quick errands at lunchtime. This new size form makes it easy to stash under a desk or rail seat.
Weight
Accompanying this smaller size is the new lighter weight. Weighing in at a mere 23lbs, the Onewheel Pint is 4lbs lighter than the Onewheel XR.
MagHandle
New on the Pint is an integrated side carrying handle. The new Onewheel Pint’s MagHandle neatly folds away inside the wheel when not in use. This prevents the handle from catching on anything when navigating through tight spaces.
Simplestop
Often the most difficult thing when learning to ride a Onewheel is the dismount or getting off your board. The standard heel lift can be difficult for some more than others. Future Motion has given new riders the ability to dismount by simply coming to a stop and then slowly moving backward. The board will then automatically place the tail down safely for the rider to then get off.
LED Lightbar
Another new feature for the Onewheel Pint is the Front Footpad lightbar. This new integrated LED strip gives the rider visual indication of Footpad sensor engagement, battery levels as well as notifications that were previously only available via the Onewheel App. This new feature will be invaluable on those rides when you don’t want to bring your phone along.
Hypercore Brushless Hub Motor
Driving this new Onewheel is the same powerful 750w Hypercore Brushless Hub Motor. This gives the Pint ample enough power to charge you up some extra steep inclines!
Color Choices
The new Onewheel Pint will not be offered in the blue colorway we all know and love. Instead, Future Motion will offer the Pint in two standard colors and one limited edition color, Slate, Sand, and Sage respectively.
Onewheel Pint Range
Similar to the Onewheel Plus, the range of the Onewheel Pint is labeled at 6 to 8 miles, or 10 to 13 kilometers. Now while this is nowhere near the mileage available to XR riders, 6 to 8 miles is still nothing to sneeze at. The Pint will be the perfect way to compliment your commute, perfect for those with long walks between bus and train stations.
