The Float Life WTF Rails
So what does WTF stand for?
Although it would be fitting, WTF is not the acronym you are thinking of. Instead, it stands for Wow They’re Fast which as it happens is also fitting. Scroll down for more possible acronyms🤙
What’s The Fuss – What are WTF Rails
This is summed up well by these words from the manufacturer
“The Homebrew WTF Rails were specifically designed from the ground up to absolutely crush trails. They set your weight at a lower center of gravity for an insane increase in stability without any loss in clearance! The upward angle under the footpads decreases the angle of approach while increasing foot grip for a safer and more secure ride. Dig deep into those turns, cut speed wobble, and stomp those big landing clean with the new Homebrew WTF Rails.”
Who They For?
Anyone who wants to crush trails. ☝️
Design Criteria – Crush Trails
When setting out to design WTF rails the team at The Float Life had one goal in mind, Crush Trails!
What The Facts?
TFL Homebrew Rails Specifications
WTF Rails are part of The Float Life’s Homebrew Rail lineup and as such carry the same specifications.
- Made with 7075 Aircraft Grade Aluminum. Commonly used in the aircraft industry, 7075 aluminum is strong and lightweight!
- 2-stage surface finish. Bling-Bling 🤑
- Type 2 Anodized For a corrosion and wear-resistant finish.
- Deep CNC Roll Tapped Threads. No more stripped-out screws.
- 400 Series Hardened Stainless Steel Inserts. Bang-Bang 🔨
- Deleted Vestigial Center Vent Hole. This was a handed down from the V1 but not actually needed with the Hypercore motor, removing the vestigial center vent hole gives added strength and resistance to bending.
- Inner Hub Bolt Access Ports. No more removing the motor to tighten the inner hub bolts.
- Tighter Tolerance At The Axle Bolt Holes. Means less movement and noise.
Worth The Funds?
If you have the funds and are serious about upping your onewheel handling and performance, then yes they are definitely worth the funds.
Will They Float?
Anyone who has tried WTF rails will tell you that they are the Real Deal! While they are not priced for the masses, if you have the opportunity to try or buy, do it!
