The Razor Crazy Cart is a battery-powered go-kart style drifting fun machine. With a drive wheel in the front and caster wheels in the back, they can spin and drift in any direction. They are a fun electric rideable for children and adults alike.

Razor Crazy Cart Review
The Razor Crazy Carts make it so easy to get your race fix. They turn a small area into a race track. The drift bar and caster wheel system allow for precision control for snapping into corners and drifting through lines like the greats!
Razor Brand
While Razor did start as a “scooter brand” they have expanded their range of products to include an extensive lineup of electric rideable for all ages.
The Crazy Cart is one of my favorites in their collection.
What Is a Razor Crazy Cart?
The Crazy Cart is “The Ultimate Drifting Machine” from the popular and well-known Razor Scooter brand. This electric rideable rides a little like a go-kart, that is until you engage the drift system by lifting up the Drift Bar. This is when things really start to get interesting.
Drift Bar
Lifting the Crazy Cart Drift Bar adjusts the angle of the rear caster wheels and in turn, controls the spins, drifts, and cornering.
Caster Wheels
This is where the manic happens😈
With a single pneumatic drive wheel at the front and two caster wheels at the back, the driver has the ability to maneuver the crazy cart with precision and finesse. Tight drifting turns mimic the feel of drifting in a full-size car. You get the feeling and exhilaration at a fraction of the cost.
Different Models of Razor Crazy Cart to Choose From
Razor Crazy Carts come in a variety of different flavors. Let’s take a look at the best features of each.
Crazy Cart XL
The Crazy Cart XL is the largest cart featuring XL size and XL power. Designed for ages 16 and up it has 500 watts of raw power coupled to a 36-volt battery bank. Riders up to 240 lb can drift into the sharpest corners with ease!
Crazy Cart Shift
Crazy Cart Shift is the cart for the smaller crazies. Designed for children, parents can select the top speed with a hidden control switch. The shift has a maintenance-free drivetrain powered by a 90-watt hub motor and up to 80 minutes of run time on the low setting.
Our Choice – The Razor Crazy Cart
The Original Razor Crazy Cart model is the most popular and widely used of all the Razor Crazy Cart models and given the crazy cheap price (check my story highlights) we found them listed for on Amazon it’s no wonder we decided to go with the OG crazy cart. Suitable for both younger riders and with more than enough power for adults. We are happy with our choice!

Unboxing and Testing the Razor Crazy Cart – Video
Charging A Razor Crazy Cart
Charging a crazy cart is as simple as plugging the included charger into the battery charging port located on the console below the steering wheel. The instruction manual states to charge the cart for a full 12 hours prior to first using your cart. This is to ensure the battery is properly charged and maintained, reducing premature battery failure.
How Long Does A Crazy Cart Battery Last?
Razor states the Crazy Cart has a run time of approximately 40 minutes. This is accurate although, the battery life is relative to the weight and driving style of the rider.
Can You Overcharge A Crazy Cart?
The Included battery charger has built-in Overcharge protection to protect the battery from being overcharged. With that in mind, the instructions also state a maximum recommended charge time of 24 hours.
Using A Crazy Cart
Now for the fun part!
What Does A Crazy Cart Do?
A crazy cart gives riders the freedom to spin and drift sideways through life. Designed to mimic the sensation of drifting, a crazy cart gives riders a similar adrenaline rush without the extreme cost and consequences of drifting a full-size vehicle. Not having brakes makes for an added challenge, although with practice and proper technique, they can be maneuvered with considerable precision.
Can a crazy cart go on grass?
Having small caster wheels on the rear means they cannot go on grass. Just like a skateboard or roller skates, riding on grass is a sure way to stop quickly! The best place to use a crazy cart is on smooth pavement.
How Fast Does a Crazy Cart Go?
Using a Crazy Cart is less about speed and more about maneuverability. Quick spins and tight turns mean you can turn the smallest area into a race track. Everyone is different and there are always riders who are speed focused. Young riders using the Shift will be topped out at 8 mph while speed demons using an OG Crazy Cart will hit the top seed of 12mph.
What is the fastest Crazy Cart?
Anyone looking for the fastest Crazy Cart will need to set their sights on the Crazy Cart XL. The XL features the most powerful motor (500-watt) with the torque to push it to speeds upwards of 14 mph.
Weight Limit – Can Adults Ride a Crazy Cart?
While the crazy cart does have a weight limit listed as 140 pounds, it is very common to see adults riding and having a blast. What Age Is A Crazy Cart For? There is a Crazy Cart model for all ages, they are not just for children.
Something to keep in mind: Exceeding the maximum rider weight will cause premature wear of components as well as void your warranty.
Razor Crazy Cart – Will It Float
While it’s not Floating like on a Onewheel, riding a crazy cart will get you in the float state of mind! Crazy Carts make it so easy to get your race fix. Even beginners will be snapping in and drifting through corners like Ken Box. The best Crazy Cart Upgrades and Mods.

How much is a crazy Cart for a 12 year old boy
Ben Domaschenz says
Hi Marie, thanks for your question.
New, the standard Crazy Cart can often be found on Amazon for less than $500. If you watch Facebook Marketplace you can often find them used for much cheaper.
