Onewheel Group Ride Poker Run. For those who don’t know, I started The Sideways Movement, Onewheel related Blog / Website a little over a year ago. As a way to share my experiences and thoughts about my all-time favorite pastime! 
Even though I don’t have the free time to push the blog to grow as much as I would like, it has grown and people do actually view the content that I put out there.
Calgary Onewheel Group Ride Poker Run
With that being said, I decided to show my appreciation and Pay It Forward to the local Calgary Onewheel community by hosting a Group Ride and Poker Run.
What Is A Poker Run? ♥️ ♠️ ♦️♣️
From Wikipedia:
A poker run is an organized event in which participants, usually using motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, horses, on foot, or other means of transportation, must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
Sweet Prizes!
As an incentive to get riders to attend there were some great prizes up for grabs. I tried to make it all-inclusive with prizes for Pint and XR riders.
The prizes included two sets of The Float Life Sidekicks (pint and XR), three T-shirts and three Onewheel sticker packs and two handcrafted Onewheel stands. 
Moro Surf our local Onewheel Dealer reaches out to me offering up additional prizes of two Craft&Ride Onetail Extreme Footpads.
The Poker Run ♥️ ♠️ ♦️♣️
The Run ended up being a very informal group ride, beginning and ending at the St Patricks Island Confluence Plaza courtyard area. There were five stops to draw cards, and prizes were handed out at the end. This was a little out of my comfort zone but I have to say it was a great success.
