Onewheel Bearing Press. I am setting up a Onewheel Mechanical Service Shop in my garage, so to make it easy to change Onewheel Bearings, I decided to get myself a 3 Ton Arbor Press.
I am Psyched to use this 3-ton Arbor Press for Onewheel Bearing Changes as well as other projects. It fits nicely on our new Heavy Duty Shop Cart without having to drill mounting holes. Now the pressure is on to do some much-needed bearing changes.

Why Use An Arbor Press To Change Onewheel Bearings?
While it is possible to change Onewheel Bearings with essential hand tools, the best and easiest way to remove and install Onewheel Bearings is with an Arbor Press.
What Size Arbor Press
The main factors for the required arbor press size are the throat depth and clearance over the baseplate. Basically, the wheel needs to fit in the jaws of the beast. The motor shaft and bearing raceway must fit underneath the Arbor Press Ram. For this reason, the 1 and 2-Ton presses, while having enough force, they are not big enough, and you would be hard-pressed to fit the motor under the blade with a tire installed. Most 3-ton arbor press models however will be large enough to fit.
If you plan on changing onewheel bearings on a regular basis, you are going to need a 3-ton Arbor Press like this one.
Magnum 3 Ton Arbor Press
After searching used websites, my local tools wholesale flyer came in the mail. Coincidentally, I happened upon the Magnum 3-Ton Arbor Press at an Impressive $250. It was meant to be 😃

Heavy-Duty Welding Table Cart
To facilitate the ergonomic use of our new heavy-weight press, I needed a shop bench to mount it on. I had contemplated building a custom bench to fit the planned location. That was until I found this Heavy Duty Welding Table Cart on sale in the Princess Auto flyer. And, with the cost of raw materials, there is no way I can build it cheaper.
This heavy-duty metal table cart has durable construction and a 1200 lb weight capacity. The top of the cart comes pre-punched with holes that line up with the mounting holes on the press. These will be good for potentially mounting a vice to the bench in the future.
Don’t worry if you don’t have Princess Auto in your area. Here is a similar version you can find on Amazon
